ASC COST REPORTING INCLUDED IN DRAFT HEALTH REFORM LEGISLATION
Draft health reform legislation released on June 19, 2009 in the U.S. House of Representatives includes a provision requiring ASC Cost Reporting. As drafted, the legislation would require the development of an ASC cost report form within two years of the enactment of the bill.
The draft bill is a house democratic discussion draft released by the chairs of the three committees that have jurisdiction over health care in the House of Representatives -- the Committee on Education and Labor, Committee on Energy and Commerce and Committee on Ways and Means. The three committees will begin hearings on this discussion draft starting the week of June 22nd.
