ASC ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP

The ASC Association is the largest national association of single- and multi-specialty ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and the health care professionals who deliver services in such ASCs.

Assistance on Medicare & Compliance Issues

ASC Association Members have:

• Information about Medicare issues through fax alerts and publications
• Access to the ASC Association's Membership Services Team for answers to Medicare questions
• Awareness of state regulatory developments through alerts and publications
• ASC specific resources for complying such as a HIPAA workbook and a compliance hotline

Assistance on Running a Successful ASC

ASC Association Members have:

• Information about the new and exciting activities of the featured ASCs in the ASC Association FOCUS and the other many tips in each issue of the ASC Association's bimonthly journal
• The ASC Association's Annual ASC Employee Salary & Benefits Survey
• Opportunity to join online networking groups
• Access to benchmarking with more than 500 participating ASCs
• Access to the Membership Services Team, available to help with your specific questions

Advocacy for a Better Future

ASC Association Members have:

• The ASC Association's top notch advocacy team working for them in Washington and state capitals across the country
• Meeting America's Surgical Needs campaign to promote the contributions of ASCs to our health care delivery system
• A partner in the promotion of appropriate policies for access to ASCs at the federal and state level
• Research being conducted on their behalf to demonstrate the benefits of ASCs

Involvement in Improving ASCs

ASC Association Members have:

• Access to easy and fun ways to get involved in grassroots efforts to promote good government policies

Membership Opportunities

There are two different types of ASC Association Membership:

• Facility Membership is available to accredited, Medicare certified or state licensed ASCs, ASCs that are in development and entities with two or more open ASCs.
• ASC Supporter Membership is available to individuals, organizations or companies that are in the business of providing supplies, equipment and/or services to ASCs and that are not eligible for Facility membership.
