Feel free to customize these samples and templates as much as you would like, including pictures of and information about your ASC and event.

Community Invitation — Use this invitation as a flyer or advertisement in a local newspaper to advertise your event.

Advertorial — An advertorial is an advertisement written in the form of an objective opinion editorial and presented in a printed publication. It is usually designed to look like an independent news story. The editorial can be customized by an individual ASC or state ASC association and placed in a local newspaper for a fee.

Public Official Invitation — Customize this draft letter to invite your local and state public officials to your open house. Refer to your tool kit for ways to find your officials' contact information. You can send letters to your members of US Congress here.

Public Official Thank You — Use this letter template to follow up with your public officials, thanking them for attending your open house and providing any additional information they may have requested.

Fact Sheet — You may use this fact sheet exactly as it is laid out or customize it to your state or ASC. Offer this fact sheet to the public officials and media contacts who are considering attending your event. More federal fact sheets on ASCs can be found here.

Press Release — Customize this press release and send it out the week before your open house, making the local media aware of your event. Call the media outlets to which you send the press release, offering them additional information about your ASC and inviting them to attend.
